Country Music Festival with Hunter Hayes Brings Community Together to Raise Money

EXTON, PA — Citadel has announced ‘Citadel Palooza’ featuring Hunter Hayes raised $54,894 for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Citadel donated 100 percent of ticket sales to CHOP, and gave concert attendees the opportunity to donate additional funds.

Citadel Palooza celebrated Citadel’s 80th anniversary as a locally-owned financial institution in the Greater Philadelphia area. With 2,000 concert attendees, the day-long country music festival at Pottstown’s Memorial Park offered a variety of food trucks and a Sly Fox Beer Garden. Sly Fox Brewing also donated a portion of its sales to CHOP.

“Citadel Palooza was a magical event that couldn’t have gone better,” said Jeff March, president and CEO, Citadel. “The community came together for an important cause and enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day with great music. I keep saying everyone has a CHOP story, which is why Citadel Palooza was so meaningful. Citadel is very proud of this accomplishment.”

Carter Winter and Alicia Beale, along with several local bands, opened for headliner and 5-time Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes at Citadel Palooza on October 7. Kendal Conrad of Pottstown, the Jess Zimmerman Band of Chester County, and Stephanie Grace of Douglassville joined the Citadel Palooza lineup. All three local artists won the Citadel Palooza “Opening Act Contest” in September.

Representatives from Citadel will present the check to CHOP within the next month.
