The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offered by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in thousands of locations across the United States each year, including Chester County and Montgomery County, PA in partnership with Life Transforming Ministries.
This year, Citadel employees are volunteering through the credit union’s Citadel Cares initiative to support the program throughout tax season.
To take advantage of VITA’s free services, taxpayers from low- and moderate-income households who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit can get help filing their income tax returns with the assistance of IRS-Certified volunteers at no charge through April 15, 2025 at a variety of locations.
For a complete list of VITA’s service intake locations and times available, check out VITA’s flyer here or visit ChesterCountyFreeTaxes.org.
